My family and I moved to Creswell about 13 years ago. What drew us to Creswell was the small-town feel. With its friendly community, variety of churches and quiet little downtown, we knew this was our home.
My wife and I recently adopted a child, and we’re in the process of adopting a second. We look forward to raising our kids in the small-town culture of Creswell.
Recently, a marijuana company came into town, attempting to overturn the vote of the people to ban marijuana dispensaries. If this initiative is voted through in November, it will change the atmosphere in Creswell forever.
In the July 27 edition of the Eugene Weekly, Dan Isaacson, CEO of One Gro, said, “We’re not looking to build a dispensary or to build a cannabis company, we’re looking to build a cannabis empire.” Our beloved Creswell would never be the same. I’m angry about how this company came into town, challenging the good citizens of Creswell.
